Configuring your desired dimensional split

You can split actuals by single dimension values or groups of dimension values. Instances that consist of multiple dimension values include actuals for all included dimension values.

The split configuration defines your forecast granularity. If you group Sales and Marketing into an instance of Sales & Marketing, you'll need to forecast on that aggregation level, and not the individual dimension values.

Configuring a dimensional split

Above, we group two dimension values (Department 1 and Department 2) into the instance Sales & Marketing. You can only split individual tabs by one dimension. Different tabs can be split by different dimensions or groups of dimension values.
