Entities

Enabling consolidation templates across your desired entity grouping.

You can split actuals by single entities values or groups of entities. Instances that consist of multiple entities include actuals for all entities included in that group.

Your split configuration defines your forecast granularity. If you group multiple entities into a single instance, you'll need to forecast on that aggregation level, and will not be able to forecast for each individual entity.

Above, we split the entities Little Roastery Corp. and Little Bakery Inc. into two instance, for which the consolidation template automatically consolidates the actuals from each entity into a separate sheet.

When splitting entities, we usually recommend to not group entities, as you'll reduce forecasting granularity, and it could be hard to spot bookkeeping errors. Also, your actuals and forecasts will automatically consolidate in the template anyway.
